Luka Modrić, the Croatian midfielder, has cast doubt on his future with Real Madrid.
Although he has been with the club since 2012 and has won numerous titles, Modrić recently stated that he is unsure what the future holds for him. He said, "Staying at Real? We will see what happens. I want to finish the season well, then we will see."
Despite reports of pacts made months ago, nothing has been signed or sealed for both Modrić and German midfielder Toni Kroos. Their future will be decided soon after a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
It is unclear whether Modrić will stay with Real Madrid or move on to a new club. However, the 35-year-old has been instrumental in the club's success over the years, including winning four UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga titles.
Real Madrid fans will undoubtedly be hoping that the club can hold onto Modrić, who has proved to be a crucial player on the pitch. However, it remains to be seen what the outcome will be after the meeting with Pérez.
