N14m debt: Portable meets bail conditions, regains freedom

Popular singer, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been released after meeting the bail conditions set for his release following his arrest for refusing to pay a N14 million debt he incurred when he purchased a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos State.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the news on Wednesday evening, stating that Portable had been granted bail.
There were viral videos showing the moments policemen attempted to arrest Portable. In one of the videos, Portable attempted to evade arrest but was caught after a chase.

The incident has sparked diverse reactions, with some condemning Portable for resisting arrest and others blaming him for not paying his debt.
