Singer, Portable's Letter Of Undertaking Surfaces, Shows He Ought To Have Paid N27million For Mercedez Car Since February

The contractual agreement between Nigerian singer, Badmus Okikiola Habeeb, also known as Portable, and car dealer Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos) has come to light, revealing that the singer was supposed to have paid N27 million for his Mercedes Benz GLE 350 since February 2024.
According to a copy of the undertaking obtained by SaharaReporters, Portable made an initial payment of N12 million for the car in January 2024 and committed to paying the remaining balance in February 2024.

The document stated, "I, BADMUS OKIKIOLA HABEEB (AKA PORTABLE), hereby pledge to purchase a Black Mercedes Benz GLE 350 with CHASIS NUMBER: 4JDA5HB6GA656575 for a total of Twenty Seven Million Naira Only (N27,000,000.00). I promise to make the first payment on the 10th of January, 2024, in the amount of N12,000,000.00. 

The second payment of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00) will be made on the 24th of January, 2024. The third payment of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00) will be made on the 10th of February, 2024, and the remaining balance must be paid on the 24th of February, 2024, in the amount of Five Million Naira only (N5,000,000.00). The total sum amounts to Twenty Seven Million Naira Only (27,000,000.00), and I, BADMUS OKIKIOLA HABEEB (AKA PORTABLE), agree that the car is satisfactory to me.

"Failure to adhere to these terms or fulfill the specified payments will grant MR. OGUNSANWO TEMITOPE (TEMMY AUTOS) the authority to repossess the Mercedes Benz GLE from me, BADMUS OKIKIOLA HABEEB (AKA PORTABLE), without any refund," the document further stipulated.

SaharaReporters previously reported on the musician's arrest by Lagos Policemen over the outstanding debt.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the arrest to SaharaReporters, stating, "I can confirm that. He was arrested for the failure to pay the debt he owed, which is for his G-Wagon. He deliberately refused to pay the balance, which amounts to up to N14 million."
