The Freelance Journalists Federation (FJF) has praised Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia for his notable achievements within his first year in office.
In a statement issued by its General Secretary, Joshua Abah, in Abuja, the group highlighted their interest in studying Governor Alia's leadership style, noting his significant accomplishments achieved with minimal media attention.
Abah stated, “In less than a year, despite facing various conspiracy theories, Governor Alia has remained steadfast in his vision. This is evident in the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, improvements in urban and rural road infrastructure, revitalization of the health sector, education reforms, and enhanced security, among other achievements.
"Overall, in terms of transparency and accountability, Governor Alia stands out among the governors based on our independent findings and deserves commendation.”
