Cherish Daniel Markson, a 21-year-old from Bayelsa State, has made Nigeria proud by securing first prize for her outstanding performance in the BA (Hons) Law with Social Sciences at the University of Warwick.
Cherish, daughter of former Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, graduated as the best Law student, achieving the highest marks among all students in this challenging course. Her remarkable achievement earned her a £250 prize and accolades from the University.
Her proud father attributed this success to divine providence, expressing gratitude for the blessings and resources that made this possible.
In a letter signed by Dr. Margaret O’Brien, Director of Undergraduate Studies, the University lauded Cherish’s dedication and intellect, predicting a bright future ahead. A formal reception will honor her achievement after the graduation ceremony on July 19.
Cherish's academic journey is marked by numerous accolades, including the Top in World Award in Law and High Achievement in Sociology by Cambridge International during her time at Bridge House College, Lagos. She also achieved A-stars in nine IGCSE subjects, underscoring her consistent excellence.
