The national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, will play Serbia in an Olympics warm-up game at the Belgrade Arena, starting at 17:00 GMT (5 pm Nigerian time).
This is the team’s second match ahead of the Women’s Basketball Tournament of the 2024 Olympic Games, which begins on July 26 in Paris, France.
The match follows a 77-63 defeat to Germany at the UBER Arena in Berlin on Friday.
Despite the loss, Randy Waldrum’s squad delivered a virtuoso performance, fueled by the support of Nigerians living in Berlin and other German cities.
Now, the African champions aim to replicate their impressive performance against Serbia, another European basketball powerhouse, with the backing of their passionate compatriots in Serbia.
