There has been a tragic incident in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, where a mosque collapsed in the Papa Ajao area of Mushin.
The collapse occurred on a Sunday afternoon during Zuhr prayer time, resulting in casualties and injuries.
Multiple videos show the recovery of bodies from the collapsed building, although the exact number of casualties is currently unknown.
As of now, no official statement has been released by any relevant agency regarding the incident.
It's worth noting that building collapses are unfortunately common in Lagos State, with at least 61 reported incidents across Nigerian states in 2022.
Lagos State has the highest number of incidents, with a record of 20, according to the Building Collapse Prevention Guild (BCPG) report.
