Rivers police arrest security guard for stealing customer’s car

The Rivers State Police Command reported that a security guard named Meshark Monday was arrested for allegedly stealing a customer's car that was undergoing repairs at his workplace along the Aba Road area of Port Harcourt, the state capital.
According to the State Police Command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, Monday attempted to sell the stolen car before being caught by police operatives from the Olu Obanjo Division on May 2nd. The 27-year-old suspect was apprehended while driving a Toyota Corolla along Olu Obasanjo after a high-speed chase onto Aba Road.

The police spokesperson mentioned that the case has been charged to court, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend Monday's accomplices in the car theft ring. Additionally, the State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, advised individuals to install security cameras and alarms to prevent such incidents outside of working hours.
