Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has spoken out regarding the heated controversy surrounding social media figure VeryDarkMan.
The outspoken personality recently made allegations against Falz and his father, renowned lawyer Femi Falana (SAN).
In a candid interview, Falz addressed the situation, revealing that the accusations were not only baseless but could have led to VeryDarkMan's arrest.
According to Falz, the legal implications of spreading false information about someone, especially on such a public platform, are severe. “If we wanted, VeryDarkMan could have been arrested, but we chose not to escalate the matter to that level,” Falz stated.
The situation began when VeryDarkMan posted several videos accusing the Falanas of engaging in unethical practices.
These allegations quickly caught public attention, sparking online debates and dividing opinions. However, Falz dismissed the claims as fabrications intended to tarnish their reputations.
Falz emphasized that while they decided to avoid legal action, it was crucial for people to understand the seriousness of making false accusations.
“We need to be careful about what we say online,” he warned, adding that they could have pursued a case of defamation but opted to handle the matter diplomatically.
Meanwhile, Bobrisky, another prominent social media figure, also weighed in on the issue, siding with Falz. Bobrisky criticized VeryDarkMan’s actions and expressed relief that the matter didn’t escalate into an arrest.
As the controversy continues to generate buzz, many are left questioning the motives behind VeryDarkMan's accusations.
