Abuja – The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to Nigeria’s development, citing the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project as a prime example of forward-thinking leadership.
Speaking on Thursday in Abuja, Umahi declared that the President’s decision to greenlight the massive infrastructure project was made with the nation’s best interests at heart.
“This highway is not just a road; it is a transformative project that will connect key economic hubs, enhance trade, and improve the quality of life for millions of Nigerians,” Umahi stated.
The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a flagship project designed to link the country’s southwestern and southeastern coasts, providing a critical artery for commerce and transportation.
Umahi emphasized that the initiative reflects Tinubu’s vision to modernize Nigeria’s infrastructure and create a more unified and economically vibrant nation.
The Minister further revealed that the project would incorporate world-class engineering standards and would be completed within a set timeline to ensure its benefits are realized promptly.
As work progresses, Umahi called for public support, urging Nigerians to embrace the development as a step towards a brighter future.
"This is a legacy project, one that will define our nation’s progress for decades to come," he concluded.
