Prof Usman Yusuf Backs #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests Against Tinubu Government

Prof Usman Yusuf, former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and member of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has voiced strong support for the planned #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests against the Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government.
He called for massive investment in public works and industrialization to help employ Nigeria's teeming youths.

He also demanded a massive shake-up in the Nigerian judiciary to remove cabals of corrupt judges and judicial officers who continue to deny everyday citizens access to real justice. Additionally, he advocated for the implementation of diaspora voting.

Omoyele Sowore, in another tweet, shared a video of a protest in Kenya and expressed his hope that similar scenes would unfold in major Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Lagos, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Makurdi, Lokoja, and Abeokuta.

"Let this be the streets of Abuja, Lagos, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Makurdi, Lokoja, Abeokuta, and Abuja," Sowore stated.

"Let the citizens of Nigeria rise together in every city, town, and village starting from July 29, 2024, until full liberation is achieved! (With Love from Kenya)!"
